Music and the Church Podcast: Global Song and the Universal Church

FCC's minister of music, Sarah Bereza, produces "Music and the Church," a podcast about the questions, assumptions, and priorities that motivate our ministry in the church.

Season 2 of Music and the Church begins this week with a conversation with Dr. Marissa Glynias Moore about connections between global song (like the South African hymn "Siyahamba") and our beliefs about the universal church. Dr. Moore invites us to think through issues of cultural appropriation and ethnotourism that we confront when singing global songs in a majority-white American congregation.
